There’s a saying that once you get sand in your shoes, you’ll never want to leave Florida. It’s true. I am a transplanted suburban New Yorker and New Jersey gal and reside in St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States. It’s beautiful here. The weather is warm…okay, that may be a slight exaggeration. It gets downright hot and humid here but it sure beats gray, overcast skies and snow.
I write murder mysteries based in St. Augustine. No, I don’t murder any of the 5.5 million tourists visiting here…although it’s been extremely tempting when tourists can’t follow street signs. Humm, maybe I’ll include that in my next book.
While I miss the Northeast on occasion…okay, rarely anymore…I’m not willing to trade warm sand between my toes and the sun shining year ‘round with fluffy white clouds gracing blue skies for bundling up with sweaters and coats to combat the cold weather.
My latest book My Short Shorts is a collection of fiction short stories and some true personal stories. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll think. It’s available in both ebook and paperback.
